How Often Should You Get a Haircut?

It depends on your cut and your hair — but here are the rules of thumb our barbers actually use.

Fades & tight cuts: 1–2 weeks

High-contrast and skin fades grow out fastest. To keep the blend crisp and the line-up clean, plan on every one to two weeks.

Tapers & medium styles: 2–4 weeks

A taper, comb-over, or textured crop holds its shape longer. Every two to four weeks keeps it looking intentional.

Longer styles: 4–6 weeks

If you're growing it out, you still want a shape-up. A trim every four to six weeks keeps the ends healthy and the outline clean.

Beards: every 1–3 weeks

A beard line-up every week or two keeps your neckline and cheeks sharp, even while you grow the length out.
